The Good and the Glamourous- The Miss Bahamas Evening Gown Competition Favorites!

I think  I’ve said a million and one times that evening gown is my absolute favorite part of pageantry, and for good reason! It’s the time when gorgeous gowns are on display. They sparkle, they shimmer, they simply dazzle.

I had the pleasure of attending this fantastic event at one of the most beautiful locations in town, Sapodilla Restaurant. A perfect location for the Miss World Bahamas contestants to showcase their poise, elegance and their stunning gowns.

A tough night of judging for the panel of judges (photo below) as each of the girls looked ASTONISHING. Yes, you read correctly, every contestant looked breathtaking.

The judges for the evening gown competition. (L-R): Long Island MP Mrs. Loretta Butler Tuner, Wife of Deputy Prime Minister The Hon. Philip E. Brave Davis, Mrs. Ann Marie Davis. MBO Stylist Joe Stubbs, Mrs. Elaine Pinder Mrs. Rosel Moxey and President of The Bahamas AIDS Foundation Camille Lady Barnett.

I have to talk my absolute FAVORITES of the night. I totally fell in love with the gown worn by Miss World Eleuthera, Geena Thompson. How could you not? The detailing looked as if it were crafted by angels themselves. Can you say LOVE?! The red lips, the perfectly tousled bob, Geena looked immaculate. Clearly the judges felt the same way, this stunner landed a spot in the top three!

This next contestant blew her evening gown performance out the water. A standing ovation for Miss World Long Island, Ashley Hamilton. She Beyonce’d that performance ( yes that’s a real thing haha) A beautiful white gown with a daring sheer bottom and train to die for.  Her accessories were simple and chic and added an additional elegant touch. Easy, breezy top three finalist!

Another gorgeous favorite was worn by Miss World Bimini Bryneeah Gray. Love! Love! Love! The color was superb and I love a dress with organized detail. The stoning and feathers were just enough to add a fashionable touch and it certainly wasn’t overbearing. Though her performance didn’t land her a top spot, this dress was unforgettable.

Sighhh I just loved Miss World Staniel Cay, Shanice Burrows in this blue number. She looked absolutely gorgeous. The dress was simple yet elegant and she looked regal.  There was fanfare and simplicity in this gown that I just loved.
